The final phase of the above works has just been completed, which is the Pneumatic Fitness Suite. We had hoped to arrange an official opening when the playground was completed, but Covid prevented this happening, so we thought we would use the final phase to celebrate the whole Common, with its new picnic tables, benches, card tables, flower beds, memorial benches and children’s playground etc.


We have arranged for the Southend Mayor to open this area on MONDAY 4th APRIL AT 12.00 NOON

If you have any friends that may also want to start and get fit, this is the time & place.


Southend Festival returns: Southend Festival returns this September with a whole host of amazing events showcasing the city of Southend’s vibrant and diverse cultural scene including comedy, art, music, children’s events and much more.

£150 council tax rebate – You may have seen the note with your council tax bill, to say you will get a £150 rebate. This is from central Government, which they have said is to help with increases in energy costs. The rebate is for eligible households, which includes those in band A to D. Funds will be paid into your bank account on 29th April if you are a direct debit customer. If you don’t have direct debit set up, they will be in touch to ensure you get your payment as soon as possible.
