What to expect when visiting your polling stations this year

You will be able to cast your vote for the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner and Local Elections on Thursday 6 May between 7am and 10pm.

This year polling stations may be a little bit different to usual, so please follow the hands, face and space guidance and dress appropriately for UK weather, as you may be required to queue outside the polling station.

A LARGE-SCALE ARTS FESTIVAL CURATED IN RESPONSE TO THE SPECTACULAR THAMES ESTUARY AND THE LIVES, LANDSCAPES AND HISTORIES FOUND THERE. IT IS MADE UP OF A MIX OF VISUAL ART, LITERATURE, MUSIC AND FILM. RE- FRAMED IN LIGHT OF COVID-19, THE FESTIVAL TAKES THE FORM OF AN EPIC 107 WALK ALONG THE STUNNING COASTLINE OF SOUTH ESSEX AND NORTH KENT WITH CONTEMPORARY ARTWORKS AND SMALL SCALE EVENTS OFFERED TO SMALL, COVID-SAFE AUDIENCES WITHIN THE ESTUARY LANDSCAPE, HISTORIC SITES AND COASTAL TOWNS. THESE WORKS WILL BE INDIVIDUALLY PLACED AND BE DISCOVERED BY INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILY GROUPS ON THEIR DAILY WALKS – OR IF PERMITTED AT THE TIME AS PART OF A TRIP TO VISIT. AT NO POINT WILL WE BE ENCOURAGING LARGE GROUPS TO GATHER AT ANY ONE TIME. ALL EVENTS THAT INVITE PEOPLE AT A SPECIFIC TIME AND DAY, WILL BE TICKETED (FREE) AND MANAGED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE GOVERNMENT GUIDELINES THAT ARE CURRENT AT THE TIME OF THE EVENT.
