SHOEBURY MATTERS 16.08.2020

SHOEBURY MATTERS – 16.08.2020

Recent attacks – You may have read about recent attacks in Shoebury or are concerned about the rise of crime in your neighbourhood lately. A meeting is being arranged between the SRA and Shoebury councillors to discuss these matters. Please email shoeburyresidents@gmail.com if there is anything specific you would like to be raised at this meeting

Face covering exempt card – Government guidance states that if you are a person who will suffer distress with having to wear a face covering, you are exempt. In settings where face coverings are required in England, there are some circumstances where people may not be able to wear a face covering. Those who have an age, health or disability reason for not wearing a face covering should not be routinely asked to give any written evidence of this, this includes exemption cards. No person needs to seek advice or request a letter from a medical professional about their reason for not wearing a face covering. Some people may feel more comfortable showing something that says they do not have to wear a face covering. This could be in the form of an exemption card, badge or even a home-made sign. This is a personal choice and is not necessary in law. Download options of print and digital exempt card.
